While financial strategies and objectives are first-order priorities for Stan in situational analysis, his tenure as CFO/COO for a New York-based Private Equity portfolio company gives him a unique ability to also manage through process and efficiency issues to deliver profitability through managing multiple strategies. Serving as the Chief Compliance Officer for a FINRA regulated firm provides insights into possible securities issues affecting private companies.
Stan has also served as President and CEO of an SEC reporting, privately traded real estate limited partnership. Brought in to stabilize a far-flung portfolio of real estate assets, he gained extensive experience in implementing successful repositioning strategies while managing a highly visible, capital-intensive enterprise.
More recently, Stan has round-tripped a HNW Real Estate investment fund (with a partner) generating returns in excess of 20%. He also created a successful personal real estate development and management company (since liquidated) encompassing office building and student housing development, acquisition and renovation as well as raw land acquisition/rezoning and sales.
As both a CFA Charterholder and a currently licensed Certified Public Accountant, Stan brings both a qualitative and quantitative approach to problem solving and strategic planning, as well as a unique focus on risk assessment.
As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor, Stan is qualified to consult on exit planning strategies for business owners, including positioning companies and their owners for maximum sales exits as well as managing personal planning issues through a team approach encompassing tax and estate planning, financial planning and advisory, and personal transitions. His experience in executing a successful MBO with a PE firm from an institutional parent company and later successfully exiting his personal real estate business have provided valuable practical insights into the exit planning process.

Stan attended college in Towson, MD, and has had career postings in Baltimore-Washington, New York City, Philadelphia and Atlanta. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (Accounting) and a minor in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Towson University, and a Master of Science in Real Estate from Georgia State University. He is a CFA Charterholder, a currently licensed Certified Public Accountant, and is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor.
Stan is an adjunct professor in the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, and serves as an outside director and Treasurer on the Atlanta VA Medical Center Foundation Board.
