My background includes almost two decades as a CFO, eight years as a CPA in a "Big Four" accounting firm, and an MBA from UC Berkeley. My experience spans numerous industries and stages of growth, including startups and mid-size companies up to $1 billion in sales. A career in the Bay Area has enabled significant experience in technology businesses, including enterprise software, SaaS, online marketplaces, e-commerce, mobile apps, and equipment manufacturing. Other industries served include professional services, construction, publishing, banking, food processing, retail, transportation and others.
I have helped raise cash from venture capital and lending sources; improved financial planning and forecasting; improved cash flow; built and trained accounting, hr and legal teams; helped structure and negotiate complex business agreements; navigated due-diligence and audits; cleaned up some very impressive accounting messes; and helped complete the sale of several companies.
