B2B CFO®, the nation’s largest CFO and Exit Strategies firm for growth-oriented, privately held companies, was honored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce with the prestigious Blue Ribbon Award. Selected from a record number of applications, B2B CFO® was among 100 businesses in the nation, and the only Arizona-based company, honored by the U.S. Chamber at the 2015 Small Business Summit held in Washington, D.C. June 8–10. The Blue Ribbon Award winners were selected for their dedication to the principles of free enterprise, especially their contributions to restoring jobs and prosperity.
“Our Blue Ribbon Award winners are the best of the best—growing and succeeding despite significant challenges.”
“As the business community has worked hard to do its part in moving the country forward economically, small businesses have continued to be the driving force responsible for much of our progress,” said U.S. Chamber President and CEO Thomas J. Donohue. “Our Blue Ribbon Award winners are the best of the best—growing and succeeding despite significant challenges.”
Jerry L. Mills, B2B CFO®’s Founder and CEO, attended the Small Business Summit to receive the award and participate in congressional meetings to discuss the importance of a political climate that supports small business and free enterprise.
“We are honored to receive this award in recognition of the 200+ Professionals in our firm who work hard each day to empower owners of privately held businesses around the country with strategies to grow and prosper,” said Mills. “It is their dedication, experience, and knowledge that helps business owners around the country sleep better at night and wake up to make educated business decisions.”
During his brief visit to Washington, D.C., Mills held multiple meetings to discuss pressing legislative issues that impact small business with Washington-based members of the media and Congress, including Congressman Matt Salmon, Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick and David Cole from Senator John McCain’s office.
“The vast majority of American companies are actually small businesses and they employ over half of the entire American workforce,” said Mills. “Our economy depends on the success of these businesses and Congress must understand this.”
Since 1987, B2B CFO®’s Professionals have worked to assist America’s privately held businesses with Chief Financial Officer Services. In 2014, B2B CFO® added a new division designed to meet the growing need of owners looking to sell their businesses. In April of 2014, the company introduced B2B Exit™, dedicated to providing owners of privately held companies with a complete line of transition and exit strategies through proprietary software and processes. The firm’s Professionals receive exclusive training to earn the designation of Certified Business Transition Experts™.
“As an organization dedicated to furthering the success of America’s small businesses, we were so pleased to honor B2B CFO® at the Small Business Summit this year,” said Giovanni Coratolo, Vice President of Small Business Policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “B2B CFO® Professionals play a major role in strengthening the economy around the country as they strengthen the small businesses in their communities.”
