Pauline has over 25 years' Accounting & Finance experience working with diverse industries including manufacturing, technology, medical device, fashion & apparel, service, staffing and non-profit organizations. Her range of expertise includes working with start-ups, VC funding, due diligence by Big 4 audit firms, acquisitions and post-acquisition integration, system conversion, downsizing and reorganization, setting up international operations, and managing banking relationships. Pauline is adept at strategic planning, process efficiency improvements, internal controls implementation, cash flow planning and management, revenue recognition and weekly / monthly financial performance reporting to track essential metrics and KPIs. From developing best practices in credit & collections and audit trails, to structuring and negotiating contracts, bank lines and leases, Pauline works resourcefully with management, customers, vendors, partners and professionals to ensure that the company's sales and operations are well supported and all assets are protected.
Pauline has an innate ability to build, direct and motivate teams by fostering a spirit of collaboration and team-work. With her positive energy and enthusiasm, Pauline is equally competent working "hands on" with staff to provide guidance, or strategically with business owners and senior management. Pauline is actively involved with the advancement of economic empowerment in society. She serves on the Board of Directors of NAWBO OC (National Association of Women Business Owners, Orange County Chapter), WHW (Women Helping Women / Men 2 Work), and on the Committee for Organizational Growth & Sustainability at Habitat for Humanity, Orange County. Pauline is also part of the Leadership Team at The Peace Exchange, a non-profit that provides sustainable employment to at-risk women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Pauline has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Financial Accounting and Auditing from the University of Bombay, where she ranked in the top 0.2% on the University Merit List. She has a Diploma in Apparel Manufacture and Design from SNDT University in Bombay, where she graduated top of her class and won the Student of the Year award. Pauline also has an MBA with a major in Entrepreneurial Management and a joint major in Marketing & Operations, and graduated with honors from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
