John earned his undergraduate degree in accounting and finance from The Ohio State University. He sat for and passed his CPA, CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter) and CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) exams. He is CPA (inactive). Over his career he was selected for development at the Center for Creative Leadership in Cambridge, MA and Nationwide's leadership development program.
He and his wife are a longtime residents of Dublin, OH. They have three children. John was active in his son's hockey endeavors coaching their teams to championships, be team manager and serving as president of the high school hockey association. They are active in their church and other initiatives. He and his family enjoy time together through family gatherings, golf, skiing and travel.
